About

Engineer’s rigor, a filmmaker’s eye for what to leave out.

I design and ship systems the whole way down: semantic search over thousands of records, multi-agent LLM pipelines, voice-driven interfaces, and the analytics that tell me whether any of it actually worked.

Before engineering I led media teams and cut short films — so I read a product the way a viewer reads a frame. That instinct for pacing, hierarchy, and what to leave out is the same one I bring to interfaces.

Currently finishing an MS in Engineering Management at Northeastern (4.0), and looking for product engineering roles where taste and shipping speed both matter.

Building the AI research infrastructure behind a media-studies lab — turning fragmented archives into something you can actually ask questions of.

  • Built a mobile-gaming research archive indexing 1,000+ titles with Next.js, TypeScript, and DynamoDB, making historically fragmented metadata searchable.
  • Cut researcher lookup time ~70% by replacing keyword search with Gemini function-calling for cross-entity semantic queries across games, devices, and publications.
  • Reduced interaction friction ~60% with a voice-driven conversational interface built on Whisper and ElevenLabs.

Owned authentication & onboarding UX on a CIAM product serving millions — where a single friction point compounds across every login.

  • Reduced failed authentication attempts ~35% across 5 enterprise services by mapping Okta login friction and redesigning error-handling prompts with engineering.
  • Increased onboarding completion ~20% for 2M+ users by analyzing drop-off in Pendo and FullStory and prioritizing registration & auth UI changes.
  • Shortened average login resolution time ~40% by mapping end-to-end auth journeys and driving changes validated through behavioral analytics.

What people who worked with me say.

From the people who saw the work up close — across the creative studio and the product team.

Jahangir worked with me as a video editor at Northeastern's Center for Transformative Media for about two years and has become a key part of our small team. He managed a heavy workload, editing a high volume of videos at exceptional quality, all while being a full-time student. On top of that, he is a kind person, a clear communicator and an absolute pleasure to work with. Any team would be lucky to have him!

Jahangir interned as a product manager within my team at Bright Horizons. We own the CIAM product, focusing on customer experience, accessibility and tech innovation. Jahangir was such a breath of fresh air! Not only did he jump right in on a very technical and nuanced product, but he brought new ideas to the table. He was running grooming calls one month into his internship. He comes with a go-getting attitude, listens actively, and takes any task you give him and out-performs what your expectations were. He is always open to learning new skills or taking constructive criticism. I would highly recommend Jahangir for your team.
