Bizmilla matches founders with investors, so the whole thing lives or dies on discovery. I led the team building the search and filtering that lets investors find the right startups, and ran the experiments to make those matches actually happen.
My role
I led four engineers and a designer — planning features, shipping them, and making the calls on what to build next. As much about keeping a small team pointed the same way as writing code.
What we built
Investors can filter startups by industry, funding stage, and preferences. We A/B tested the search experience to see what actually drove engagement, on a React and Node marketplace built to connect the two sides faster.
Result
Investor engagement went up 2.3× once we treated search as something to test and iterate on, not ship once.
